It was really an interesting meeting with gentle people and a great opportunity to improve the English knowlegde.
We discussed that it would be a nice idea to watch a movie at Turmpalast and afterwards chat in a nice location - not yet fixed what - but there are some nice bars around the Eschenheimer Turm.

As I will be off Frankfurt until 25 June or even longer, I think you should already start to plan this event to make the English Speaking Table a regular appointment.

Might be I can step in - depends on how boring or interesting the weekends north of Ffm are , if not, I am sure, there will be a next opportunity to see you all again and improve my English.

I am sure Volker will coordinate and fix the movie appointment.

Hi Silvie, great idea - but don`t you think that there are also movies in English?
But that perhaps will be still too difficult for us? What kind of movie would be nice to watch?

Another idea would be the English Theater - saw it only from outside and was always to lazy and with few intention to go on my own.

And who the hell is Aquarian? I did not find any Aquarian here.....

sure, the Turmpalast only plays movies in original version. I think that link I sent before is a bad one - this one seems to be better and provides the schedule for the next weeks

I believe watching movies in the original language is good anyway - might be that we do not get everything - I personally laugh when everybody laugh - no, seriously: You get a lot also from the pictures and remember new vocabulary better. The sentence " on s'apelle" I got from a french movie and help me a lot when I stayed in Paris - everybody thought my French is great - what it is not
Our native speaker could explain thing you did not get afterwards.
The English Theater is really great. Have been there twice - and it was always a great event. (Kat and the Kings - a musical from South Africa) the actor look directly in my eyes, when he said " sometimes dreams become true" - and he was a pretty actor
I hope that you make up your mind for the English Theater later, as do not like to go to a theatre alone - would not mind to go to a good movie alone .

Anyway it is both worth going there.
You can google the English Theatre and wil have their schedule.
I am a little in a hurry right now.

Cat, you ask about Aquarius, she is a lovely American lady who joined us briefly for the last meeting. The idea of a film is good, surely we can find something that everyone would like. Then we can discuss it afterwards in a bar......

of course, HF, thought of it - would be a little too much asked from you to show up in person - long flight.

2 days before i also thought of Illuminati, because not only Tom Hanks but also Ewan McGregor is acting. That they want to save the pope is a question of mental attitude. But there are too few participants again and i don`t want to act as a catalyst. (had been too often in life and makes me sad.)
